Buenos Aires, December 22 (NA) – Former President Cristina Kirchner continues to have a favorable recovery after being hospitalized and surgically intervened last Saturday for an acute appendicitis with localized peritonitis, the Otamendi Sanatorium reported in its second medical bulletin. According to the communiqué accessed by the Argentine News Agency, 'Dr. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner continues her evolution from the acute appendicitis with localized peritonitis.' The bulletin detailed that 'the patient currently remains on antibiotic treatment and maintains a peritoneal drain, without fever or complications so far.' It was also indicated that 'the criterion for hospitalization remains until the pertinent treatment is completed,' according to the report signed by the medical director of the Otamendi Sanatorium, Dr. Marisa Lanfrandoni.
